                A Letter To God         

 Q-1:- What was lencho’s pride and possesion?

Ans:-   Lencho lived in that solitary house on the crest of a low hill in the valley. From here, he could see the river and the mountain slopes, the field of ripe corn dotted with flowers that always promised a good harvest. This crop was his pride and possession because he had worked hard to get it. Now, it only need a downpour or at least a shower to get the crop finally ripe. 

Q-2:- Bring out Lencho’s immense faith in God.

Ans:-   Lencho wanted some rain for his crop and the ripe crop stood proudly in the field and promised good harvest. Rain came as he predicted but soon it turned into a hailstorm and destroyed the crop totally. He was filled with sorrow but he had a single hope and it was help from God. He had an immense faith in god and he was confirm that God will definitely help him in this adverse condition, so he wrote a letter to God asking him to help him by sending hundred pesos to live and to sow the fields again until the crop comes.  

 Q-3:- How did the hailstones affect Lencho’s field? What was Lencho’s only hope?

Ans:-   Lencho was a small farmer, he was totally dependent on the crops of his fields for everything. Once a heavy downpour occurred and along with it large hailstones began to fall. It rained for an hour and destroyed the crops totally. The field was white as if covered with salt, not a single leaf or flower was left on the plants. Lencho’s soul was filled with sadness.

                                                                           Now, he and his family had only one hope and it was the help from God.

Q-4:- How did post office emplyoees help Lencho? How did Lencho react to their  help?

Ans:-   The postmaster who was a mature, kind-hearted and amiable fellow when saw the letter to God wrote by Lencho, thought to help him in order not to shake Lencho’s faith in God. He collected money from his employees and friends, he also gave a part of his salary and sent it to Lencho with a signature of God. It was a little more than half what Lencho have asked for.

                                                                                But Lencho grew angry when he counted the money because it was only seventy pesos. He thought that the post office employees had stolen his money so he wrote another letter to God to sent remaining money but not by post. He also called the post office employees ‘a bunch of crooks’.

Ans:-   Lencho

 Lencho was a simple man and hardworking farmer who worked as an ox in his fields. Lencho’s whole crop was badly destroyed. He was sad and anxious about his family but he had a hope and it was help from God. Lencho is a very simple man as you can see he did not know that there is no one living as god who can send him money. Lencho had a firm faith in God. He wrote a letter to God with a confidence that HE will definitely help him in this adverse situation.  

The Postmaster

The postmaster was a mature, kind-hearted and amiable fellow . He understands the depth of Lencho’s faith in God and wishes to help him. After reading the letter of Lencho, he decides to help him which shows that he is a kind hearted man. He collected money from his friends and employees to help the poor farmer.He felt happy and satisfied when Lencho receives the money, as he loves to help others.
